About the Role
We're looking for a commercially focused and technically strong Management Accountant to join a growing finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an accountant who enjoys taking ownership of financial reporting, driving continuous improvement, and leading a high-performing team.
Reporting into senior finance leadership, you'll be responsible for the end to end production of management accounts, delivering insightful reporting to support business decisions, and helping to shape financial processes as the organisation continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
Management Accounts & Financial Reporting
Take full ownership of the monthly management accounts.
Prepare and review monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
Produce consolidated management accounts and supporting analysis.
Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls.
Prepare monthly Board and Executive reporting packs.
Deliver high-quality management information and financial insights to senior stakeholders. Continuous Improvement
Drive improvements to reporting processes, accuracy, and governance.
Identify opportunities to reduce month-end reporting timelines through process optimisation and automation.
Strengthen financial controls and introduce efficiencies through the effective use of systems and technology.
Leverage financial data and tools to improve business insight and decision-making. Leadership & Team Development
Manage, coach, and develop an Assistant Management Accountant, supporting both performance and career growth.
Act as a mentor and role model within the wider finance team.
Promote high standards of accuracy, accountability, and reporting excellence.
Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. About You
Qualifications
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), QBE or PQ Experience
Proven experience producing accurate and timely management accounts and financial reporting.
Experience managing, mentoring, or developing team members, or a clear desire to step into a people management role. Skills & Attributes
Strong understanding of accounting standards and best practice.
Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Highly performance-driven with a proactive mindset.
Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Ownership-focused with a passion for continuous improvement and process enhancement.
This is a full time, permanent position with a salary of £45,000 - £50,000p/a dependant on experience.
