How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the role

    Maths Teacher

    Sheffield - South Yorkshire

    £150 - £232.57 per day (salary is dependent on experience and/or qualifications)

    The School and the Role

    This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Maths Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Doncaster part time starting September 2026.

    You’ll be teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4 (Years 7–11), delivering engaging, creative lessons that inspire confidence and performance skills. The school has well-motivated students, strong leadership support, and a clear commitment to professional development. Maths is valued within the curriculum, with opportunities to contribute to extracurricular activities if wanted.

    You’ll be joining a dedicated and collaborative department, with access to good facilities, specialist resources, and free onsite parking.

    Requirements (Please Apply Only If You Meet the Below)

    To be considered for this Teacher of Maths role, you must:

    Hold QTS or a PGCE (UK-recognised teaching qualification)
    Have recent experience teaching GCSE Maths (Years 10 and 11)
    Be available full-time for a one term cover
    Demonstrate strong classroom management and the ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities
    Have excellent communication and organisational skills
    Be able to provide suitable references, a valid Enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply), and Right to Work in the UK
