A well-established and growing engineering manufacturer within the ventilation sector is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join their workshop team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist business producing bespoke equipment for both new build and refurbishment projects.
The Role
Working within a small, skilled workshop team, you will be responsible for the manufacture of bespoke ventilation and air handling components.
Key responsibilities include:
Manufacturing bespoke ductwork, silencers, plenums, and air handling components
Working with galvanised sheet metal (typically 0.9mm - 3.0mm)
Operating machinery including hydraulic presses and cutting equipment
Interpreting technical drawings and fabrication sketches
Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard
Maintaining strong health and safety practices at all times
Liaising with the workshop supervisor and wider teamWhat We're Looking For
Previous experience as a Sheet Metal Worker or Fabricator within a relevant industry
Experience working with galvanised sheet metal
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Good practical skills and attention to detail
Physically capable of handling materials and tools
Strong work ethic with the ability to work effectively within a team
Basic maths skillsWhat's on Offer
Hourly rate: £14.50 per hour (negotiable depending on experience)
Full-time, permanent position
