How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We are working with a leading Tier 1 infrastructure contractor delivering complex London Underground station upgrade works, including significant structural and accessibility enhancements. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Planner to join a high-profile project and play a key role in programme delivery.

    As Planner, you will be responsible for developing, managing and monitoring project programmes across a live LU station environment. The scheme includes concrete platform construction, lift shaft installation, and associated civils works, requiring careful coordination in a constrained operational setting.You will work closely with the project delivery team to ensure robust planning, reporting, and programme control across all phases of the works.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Develop and maintain detailed programmes using planning software

    Integrate and manage programme inputs for station upgrade works

    Plan and sequence works relating to:

    Concrete platform construction

    Lift shaft installation and structural interfaces

    Rail and station civils works

    Monitor progress against programme and produce regular updates

    Identify risks, delays, and opportunities within the programme

    Liaise with site teams, engineers, and senior stakeholders

    Support NEC contract requirements including programme submissions

    Provide clear reporting and programme narratives

    Requirements

    Proven experience as a Planner / Planning Engineer on rail or infrastructure projects

    Strong background in London Underground or station upgrade environments

    Demonstrable experience with:

    Concrete structures / platforms

    Lift shafts, access works, or deep structures

    High proficiency in Primavera P6

    Understanding of NEC contracts

    Experience working in constrained, live operational rail environments

    Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
