How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Senior Process Quality Engineer
    Coatbridge, Lanarkshire

    TXM Recruit is partnering with an innovative aerospace and defence manufacturer to recruit a Senior Process Quality Engineer.
    This is an exciting opportunity to join a business at the forefront of advanced thermal battery technology, supplying products used in mission-critical aerospace, defence and space applications where quality, precision and reliability are paramount.
    As a senior member of the Quality Engineering team, you will play a key role in improving manufacturing capability, driving process excellence and ensuring robust quality systems are embedded throughout the product lifecycle.
    Working closely with Design, Manufacturing and Production Engineering, you'll help deliver continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements.
    The Opportunity
    This is a highly collaborative role for an engineer who enjoys solving complex manufacturing challenges and driving improvements at source. You'll combine technical expertise with a proactive approach to quality, ensuring manufacturing processes are capable, compliant and continually evolving.
    Key Responsibilities
    * Lead quality engineering activities across manufacturing processes, driving process capability and continuous improvement.
    * Develop and maintain Process FMEAs, Control Plans and inspection strategies to minimise manufacturing risk.
    * Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions using structured methodologies such as 8D and RCCA.
    * Support New Product Introduction through process validation, First Article Inspection (AS9102) and manufacturing readiness.
    * Analyse quality data and process performance to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
    * Partner with Manufacturing and Design Engineering to improve process robustness and manufacturability.
    * Support and enhance the AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
    * Participate in internal, customer and third-party audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
    About You
    You are an experienced Quality or Process Engineer with a passion for manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement. You enjoy working cross-functionally, influencing engineering decisions and using data-driven problem-solving to deliver measurable improvements.
    What We're Looking For
    * Degree qualified in Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials Science or a related discipline.
    * Experience within Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Quality in a regulated engineering environment.
    * Strong knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
    * Experience using PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA and process capability techniques.
    * Proven ability to lead root cause investigations and implement sustainable corrective actions.
    * Experience supporting NPI, process validation and First Article Inspection activities.
    * Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
    * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    Desirable
    * AS9100 Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor qualification.
    * Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher).
    * Experience within aerospace, defence, space or other high-reliability manufacturing environments.
    * Knowledge of advanced manufacturing, electro-mechanical assembly or battery technologies.
