How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Job title: Aftersales Support Engineer
    Location: Near Tamworth
Salary: £(Apply online only) per annum (DOE)
    Type: Permanent, Full-time

A growing engineering manufacturer is looking for a Aftersales Support Engineer to join its experienced engineering team. This is a varied role where you'll combine customer technical support, fault finding and production support, helping solve real engineering problems every day.

Please read the two must-haves before applying. Applications that don't meet both won't be considered:

    * Previous experience supporting, servicing or fault-finding industrial machinery or automated equipment. Essential.

    * Strong electro-mechanical fault-finding skills, with the ability to read electrical schematics and engineering drawings. Essential.

Got both? Then you'll also need:

    * Experience working with industrial machinery, automated equipment or PLC-controlled systems.

    * A logical and methodical approach to diagnosing technical faults.

    * Strong communication skills, with the confidence to support customers and engineers over the phone and by email.

    * The ability to prioritise multiple technical issues in a fast-paced engineering environment.

    * A proactive attitude with a genuine interest in learning new products and developing your technical knowledge.

The day to day: supporting customers and engineers with technical queries, diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults, assisting production with technical issues, supporting testing and commissioning, investigating warranty issues, interpreting technical documentation and working closely with engineering and quality teams to resolve complex problems. Most support is provided remotely by phone and email, with occasional hands-on involvement in production and testing.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing engineering business where you'll become a technical specialist, working on advanced industrial equipment and developing your engineering knowledge within a supportive team.

Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm. Permanent. On-site near Tamworth.

Apply with your CV. Please only apply if you meet both essential requirements.
