How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Stores Operative

    Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
     
    Job Type: Ongoing Position
     
    Shift Pattern: Rotating Weekly Shifts

    Week 1: Monday to Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm
    Week 2: Monday to Friday, 2:00pm – 10:00pm 
    Pertemps is currently recruiting for a reliable and motivated Stores Operative to join a busy and well-established operation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous warehouse or stores experience who is looking for a long-term, ongoing role within a supportive and professional working environment.
    The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the stores department, supporting the movement, control, and accurate recording of stock while maintaining high standards of organisation and efficiency.
    Key Responsibilities
    Receiving, checking, and processing incoming deliveries
    Managing goods-in and goods-out activities accurately and efficiently
    Moving stock safely around the warehouse and stores areas using pallet trucks
    Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch
    Maintaining accurate stock records and inventory levels
    Using CRM and stock management systems to log products and stock movements
    Updating records and reports using Microsoft Office applications
    Conducting routine stock checks and assisting with inventory control
    Ensuring all work is carried out in line with company procedures and health and safety requirements
    Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient stores environmentSkills and Experience Required
    Previous experience working within a stores, warehouse, logistics, or stock control environment
    Strong knowledge of goods-in and goods-out procedures
    Experience using pallet trucks
    Confident computer user with experience of CRM, stock management, or warehouse management systems
    Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling stock and completing documentation
    Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure
    Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a teamWhat's on Offer?
