Key Responsibilities
• Assist in preparing mechanical estimates and tender submissions.
• Review drawings, specifications and bills of quantities.
• Produce material take-offs and quantity schedules.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Help prepare cost plans and pricing documents.
• Support the handover of successful projects to the delivery team.
• Maintain estimating records and databases.
• Liaise with suppliers, clients and internal departments throughout the tender process. Requirements
• Previous experience within the Building Services, M&E or Construction industry.
• Experience in an estimating, engineering, commercial or technical support role would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of HVAC, plumbing or mechanical building services.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Full UK Driving Licence (preferred). Desirable
• HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services, or working towards one.
• Knowledge of estimating software would be beneficial.
• Previous experience working for a mechanical contractor.
