How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Role: Primary Teaching Assistant – Hyde, Manchester  – Up to £550 per Week

    Location: Chorlton

    Start Date: 2nd September 26

    Contract: Long-term with Daily Opportunities available.

    Salary: £462.80 – £550 per week (dependent on experience and scale point).

    The School & Role

    Vision for Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to support pupils in primary schools across Hyde, Manchester. Opportunities are available from September, with earlier start dates considered for suitable candidates. This is a long-term role with additional day-to-day supply work available for those seeking flexibility.

    As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to support pupils' learning and engagement in the classroom. You will help deliver learning activities, encourage participation, and provide additional support to ensure children remain focused, confident, and motivated throughout the school day.

    You will work with individual pupils and small groups, helping to reinforce lesson content and create a positive learning environment where every child has the opportunity to succeed.

    Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and other support professionals, you will play an important role in supporting pupils' academic progress, confidence, and overall development.

    This role would suit a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Classroom Assistant, or Education Support Worker looking to develop their career within primary education.

    Requirements

    To apply for this Teaching Assistant role in Hyde, you should have:

    Experience supporting children within a primary school, classroom, childcare, or educational setting, or hold a Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
    A genuine interest in supporting children's learning, wellbeing, and personal development.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills when working with pupils and school staff.
    Confidence supporting small-group learning activities and adapting to a variety of learning needs.
    A reliable, proactive attitude and the ability to contribute positively as part of a school team.
