How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Business Studies Teacher – Doncaster

    Location: Doncaster
    Contract: Full-time, Temp-to-Perm
    Start Date: September 2026

PK Education are working with an 11-16 secondary school in Doncaster who are looking to appoint a Business Studies Teacher from September 2026. The timetable will consist of teaching Business Studies across KS3 and KS4, delivering lessons that help students understand entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, and the world of work.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher looking for a role with long-term security, with the school keen to appoint on a temporary basis initially before offering a permanent contract to the right candidate.

Business is a popular subject within the school, with strong uptake at GCSE and a department that prides itself on making the subject relevant, practical, and engaging. The successful candidate will be joining a supportive team with shared resources and an established curriculum already in place.

    The Role

Teaching Business Studies across KS3 and KS4

Planning and delivering engaging and relevant lessons

    Monitoring and assessing student progress

    Preparing students for GCSE examinations

Contributing positively to the wider department and school community

    What We're Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience

Experience teaching Business Studies within a secondary setting

Strong classroom management and communication skills

Ability to bring real-world examples into the classroom

Someone looking to establish themselves within a school long-term

The school has supportive leadership, good behaviour systems, and a strong focus on staff development, making this an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and ECTs.

This is an ideal role for somebody looking for more than just a supply position, with the opportunity to secure a permanent post within a welcoming and ambitious school
