We're looking for a Heat Treatment Operative to join the team. This is a hands-on role working in a specialist area of production, processing thin gauge aluminium parts used in the aerospace industry.
What the role involves
Loading and unloading aluminium components into heat treatment furnaces
Running heat treatment processes (e.g. solution treatment, ageing, annealing) to set instructions
Monitoring temperatures, timings and process cycles to make sure parts meet spec
Quenching and cooling parts safely using the correct methods
Checking and recording process data and job information
Preparing parts before and after treatment (cleaning, handling, moving between stages)
Working to route cards, work instructions and production schedules
Carrying out basic inspections and supporting quality checks
Keeping the work area clean and organised in line with 5S standards
Following all health & safety procedures at all times
(Typical duties in similar roles include operating furnaces, controlling heating cycles, quenching materials, and ensuring parts meet aerospace quality standards.)
