How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Are you looking for a rewarding SEN Teaching Assistant role where you can genuinely make a difference every day?
We’re recruiting a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to support post-16 students with autism and learning disabilities within a welcoming and inclusive further education setting in Bath.
This well-respected college is known locally for its supportive approach to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and its commitment to helping young people prepare for adulthood. With modern facilities and a strong focus on independence, employability and life skills, the college provides a nurturing environment where students feel safe, valued and encouraged to achieve their potential.
The most recent Ofsted report highlights the positive relationships between staff and students, the inclusive culture across the college, and the strong support provided for learners with additional needs.
This SEN Teaching Assistant role would suit graduates, support workers, youth workers, sports coaches or anyone passionate about supporting young people with SEND. Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or supporting individuals with additional needs is beneficial, but not essential. We’re primarily looking for someone who is patient, reliable, positive and eager to make a meaningful impact.
    The Role
    • Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30am–3:30pm)
    • £14.30 per hour
    • September start
    • Opportunity to become permanent following a 16-week settling-in period
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
    • Support students during lessons and practical activities
    • Help learners develop confidence, communication and independence
    • Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required
    • Encourage positive engagement both academically and socially
    • Work closely with teaching staff and the wider support team to meet individual student needs
If you’re looking for a rewarding SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity within a supportive college environment, we’d love to hear from you
