How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Are you an experienced Religious Education Teacher seeking a permanent role from September 2026?

    Do you have the passion, subject knowledge and motivation to inspire pupils to achieve beyond their expectations?

    We are urgently looking for a focused and motivated Religious Education Teacher to join a high performing secondary school with a dedicated team. This is a permanent role with immediate interviews available. The successful Religious Education Teacher will have a genuine passion for their subject, a commitment to developing this in pupils, and the ability to lead learners to achieve far beyond their own expectations. The role would suit a reflective and ambitious practitioner who is keen to advance their own teaching practice, share ideas with colleagues and contribute more widely to the extra-curricular life of the school.

    To be considered for this role, you will:
    • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
    • Have a degree in Religious Education, Theology, Philosophy, or a closely related subject
    • Demonstrate excellent Religious Education subject knowledge and confident classroom practice across KS3, KS4, and KS5
    • Be passionate about supporting pupils to achieve high academic standards
    • Show a willingness to contribute to the wider school community and extra-curriculars
    • Hold UK Right to Work
