How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

CNC Miller / Programmer — Aerospace Tooling

    Location: Bristol (Kingswood, BS15)
Salary: £19+ per hour for the right candidate + overtime at time and a third
Hours: 40 hours — Mon–Thu 8am–5pm, early finish Friday (flexible start to finish earlier)
    Type: Permanent

A well-established Bristol precision engineering business with over 25 years' experience in aerospace tooling — engine tooling, airframe and ground support equipment — is looking for a skilled CNC Miller/Programmer to join their team, producing high-precision components to exacting aerospace standards.

This is a great opportunity to work on genuinely interesting, high-spec tooling for the aerospace sector within a respected, approvals-accredited business.

    What you'll be doing:

Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines to manufacture precision aerospace tooling and components from engineering drawings, holding tight tolerances, proving out programs and contributing to quality and process improvement across varied, often bespoke work.

    What we're looking for:

    * Genuine CNC milling experience — programming, setting and operating

    * Haas control experience a strong advantage

    * Ability to work from complex engineering drawings to tight tolerances

    * Precision engineering or aerospace background ideal

    * Reliable, quality-focused and keen to work on varied, high-spec components

    What's on offer:

    * £19+ per hour for the right, genuinely skilled candidate

    * Permanent role with a stable, long-established aerospace engineering business

    * Monday–Thursday 8am–5pm with an early Friday finish, and flexible start times so you can finish earlier

    * Overtime paid at time and a third

    * Interesting, high-precision aerospace tooling work

If you're a skilled CNC Miller/Programmer — ideally with Haas experience — looking for varied precision work with a respected Bristol aerospace business, apply now or get in touch for a confidential conversation
