How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Accounts Assistant

    Redditch

    16 hours per week (potentially full time in longer term)

    £14/hr equivalent to fulltime salary of £27300

    Our client is looking for a friendly, organised Accounts Assistant to join their close-knit team on a part-time basis. Initially, this role will be 16 hours per week, with flexibility to work around school hours (for example Monday to Thursday, 9:00am–1:00pm).

    Whilst the position starts on a part-time basis, their long-term ambition is to grow this into a full-time role as the business continues to expand and additional training can be provided.

    This opportunity would be ideal for someone:

    The Role

    You'll become an important part of their Accounts team, supporting a wide variety of accounting and office activities including:

    * Sales Ledger

    * Purchase Ledger

    * Credit Control

    * Cash Book processing

    * Weekly Payroll administration

    * Supplier and customer account maintenance

    * Purchase order processing

    * Procurement administration

    * General office and administration support

    No two days are the same, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and being involved across the business.

    They are looking for someone with:

    ✔ Previous accounts or bookkeeping experience

    ✔ Good understanding of Sales & Purchase Ledger

    ✔ Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

    ✔ Confident using Microsoft Office

    ✔ Strong communication skills

    ✔ Experience of Sage or similar accounting software would be advantageous

    ✔ Payroll experience would be beneficial but isn't essential
