How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Marketing Assistant

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
    Location: Birstall / Leeds, hybrid
Reports to: Digital and Brand Lead

    About enevo

enevo is a built environment TICC (Testing, Inspection, Certification & Compliance) consultancy, supporting clients across Building Safety, Building Compliance and Building Control.

We work with developers, contractors, architects, dutyholders and wider project teams who need clear, practical support across compliance, safety, technical consultancy and regulatory services. In plain English, we help people navigate some of the more complex parts of the built environment without making everything more complicated than it already is.

    About the role

We’re looking for a Marketing Assistant to support our Digital and Brand Lead with practical, hands-on marketing activity across the business.

This is a varied role covering brand, content, organic social media, digital asset production, website administration, internal and external communications, business development and divisional materials, proposal support and event planning activity.

It would suit someone who enjoys writing, creating, organising and helping technical experts turn their knowledge into clear, useful content. You don’t need to know the built environment inside out on day one. You do need to be curious, accurate, organised and comfortable asking sensible questions when something isn’t clear.

    What you’ll be doing

You’ll support the day-to-day delivery of marketing activity across enevo, helping to keep content, campaigns and business development materials moving.

    The role will include:

Creating and scheduling organic LinkedIn content for the company and selected team members

Writing first-draft content, including LinkedIn posts, article outlines and short web copy

Creating graphics and digital assets using Canva

Updating website content and supporting basic web administration through WordPress or a similar CMS

Supporting the production of web articles, case study content and service-led marketing content

Helping to create brochures, capability documents and business development materials

Supporting internal and external communications, including staff updates, client communications and campaign activity

Helping with email campaigns, social posting and contact list activity through HubSpot or a similar CRM

Providing light reporting across social, website and email activity

Supporting ad hoc events, including preparation of digital assets, printed materials, attendee information and follow-up content

Coordinating photography and video content, including basic editing where needed

Formatting professional CVs, proposals, presentations and client-facing documents

Supporting bespoke proposal activity with clear, well-structured content and presentation support

Keeping marketing files, templates and assets organised so people can actually find what they need

    What we’re looking for

This role could suit an entry-level graduate, someone with 1 to 2 years’ marketing experience, or someone already working in a junior marketing role who wants broader exposure across brand, content, digital and business development support.

We’re looking for someone who is:

A clear and confident writer, with strong attention to detail

Comfortable creating simple, polished graphics and digital assets

Interested in LinkedIn, content marketing and B2B communications

Organised, reliable and able to manage several small projects at once

Curious enough to learn about technical services and turn them into content people can understand

Comfortable working with colleagues across different teams and seniority levels

Practical and calm when priorities shift, as they occasionally do, usually just after someone says “this should be straightforward”

Able to take feedback well and improve work quickly

Confident using digital tools and willing to learn new ones

Positive, professional and comfortable working as part of a small marketing function supporting a growing consultancy

Built environment, construction, consultancy or B2B experience would be useful, but it isn’t essential. A good eye, good writing and a willingness to learn matter more.

    Tools and skills

You should be comfortable with, or keen to develop confidence in:

    Canva

    WordPress or another CMS

    HubSpot or another CRM

    LinkedIn

    PowerPoint

    Microsoft 365

    Basic video editing tools

Key knowledge of detailed prompting and use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini or similar for research support, drafting, structuring and content development

You don’t need to be an expert in every platform, but you should be confident learning new systems and using them carefully.

    Benefits

    The package includes:

    Salary of £30,000 per annum

30 days’ holiday plus 8 bank holidays

Christmas shutdown, with 3 days deducted from holiday allowance

    Healthcare Cash Plan

    Employee Assistance Programme

Workplace pension with Scottish Widows after 3 months, with 3% employer contribution and 5% employee contribution on a salary sacrifice basis.

Company sick pay after successful completion of probation, up to 8 weeks in any rolling 12-month period

    Private medical insurance

    Life cover

Hybrid working from Birstall / Leeds

    How to apply

Please apply with your CV and a short note outlining why the role interests you.

We’re particularly interested in people who can write clearly, create useful content and bring a practical, organised approach to marketing support. A portfolio, examples of written work, Canva designs, LinkedIn content or other marketing work would be welcome if you have them
