How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    An excellent opportunity for an Experienced Press Brake Setter / Operator to join a well-established company!

    Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

    Salary: Competitive Salary of £16.00 - £18.00 PH, Depending on Experience.

    Location: Nelson, Lancashire BB9.

    Schedule: Monday – Friday, option for a 4 day week

    Are you an experienced Press Brake Operator with a minimum of 5 years’ experience, looking to join a dynamic and growing manufacturing team in Nelson, Lancashire? If you have the skills and expertise, we want to hear from you!

    About The Role:

    The company are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Press Brake Setter/Operator to join their production team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machinery to bend, shape, and fabricate metal components to precise specifications.

    Responsibilities Include:

    * Set up and operate Amada Press Brake machines

    * Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints

    * Inspect and measure finished products for accuracy

    * Perform routine machine & tooling maintenance and daily Health & Safety checks.

    * Ensure safe and efficient operations at all times

    Candidate Requirements:

    * Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Press Brake Operator

    * Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes

    * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

    * High attention to detail and quality control

    * Good communication and teamwork skills

    * Flexibility to work Monday-Thursday, 07:00 - 17:00 after probation
