How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Role

As the school's SENCO, you will:

    *

Lead the strategic development and implementation of SEND provision across the school.

    *

Coordinate day-to-day SEND support and interventions.

    *

Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation.

    *

Support teachers and support staff in delivering high-quality, inclusive teaching.

    *

Monitor pupil progress and analyse data to improve outcomes.

    *

Oversee EHCPs, annual reviews and targeted interventions.

    *

Work collaboratively with parents, carers and external professionals.

    *

Lead and develop SEND staff, providing guidance, training and support.

    *

Maintain accurate SEND records, documentation and reporting systems.

    *

Promote safeguarding, inclusion and positive outcomes for all pupils.

    About You

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated professional who is committed to making a difference in the lives of children and young people with additional needs.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

    *

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS).

    *

Experience teaching across a range of key stages.

    *

Previous experience in a SENCO or similar leadership role.

    *

NASENCO or NPQ for SENCOs qualification.

    *

Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and current legislation.

    *

Experience supporting pupils with SEND, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

    *

Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills.

    *

A commitment to inclusion, collaboration and continuous professional development.

    *

Ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

    *

Access to health and wellbeing support services, including a confidential Employee Assistance Programme.

    *

    Retail, travel and leisure discounts.

    *

    Cycle to Work Scheme.

    *

    Generous life assurance cover.
