How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    * Support the production and publication of policy reports and consultation responses

    * Help prepare documents for publication, including formatting and version control

    * Produce internal communications such as announcements, updates and newsletters

    * Update and maintain the intranet and other content platforms

    * Work with policy, public affairs and membership teams to turn complex material into accessible copy

    * Support content planning and track upcoming publications and communications activity

    WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

    Essential:

    * Content production experience (from communications, journalism, copywriting, marketing, PR or similar)

    * Strong writing, proofing and copy skills

    * Good attention to detail and a collaborative approach

    * Understanding of tone, accuracy and approval processes

    * Comfort using content creation and publishing tools

    Desirable:

    * B2B or financial services experience

    * Knowledge of pensions or investments

    WHO YOU ARE

    * A strong writer with exceptional English language skills

    * Organised, reliable and able to work under pressure to tight timelines

    * Able to take complex information and make it clear and engaging

    * A team player who builds good relationships across the business

    * Curious, proactive and keen to learn

    * Comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

    WHAT WE OFFER

    * Salary: £25–27.5k depending on experience

    * Pension: 15% employer contribution (or 10% flexible option with 0% employee contribution)

    * Benefits: Life assurance, health cash plan

    * Working pattern: Hybrid, London-based — 20% office attendance expected; flexible working considered

    * Bonus: Discretionary, based on performance
