How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    About the Opportunity

We are partnering with an innovative UK Rocket Launch Provider that is undertaking a significant investment in its digital infrastructure and operational systems. As part of this growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Odoo Developer to take ownership of the ongoing development, optimisation, and future scalability of the company's core ERP/MRP platform.

This is a unique opportunity to work within a highly specialised engineering environment where Odoo sits at the heart of business operations, supporting manufacturing, inventory management, procurement, sales, and finance functions. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the platform, delivering high-impact solutions that directly influence operational efficiency and business performance.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative and forward-thinking team, taking a lead role in driving technical excellence, modernisation initiatives, and long-term platform strategy.

    The Role

As Senior Odoo Developer, you will be responsible for the architecture, development, maintenance, and enhancement of the company's Odoo ecosystem. This includes leading major version upgrades, developing bespoke functionality, integrating third-party platforms, and ensuring the system remains scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives.

You will work closely with stakeholders across manufacturing, operations, finance, and procurement to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions while maintaining alignment with Odoo best practices and upgrade paths.

    Key Responsibilities

Lead and deliver Odoo upgrades and migrations across major versions, ensuring stability and minimal disruption to business operations.
Design, develop, and maintain custom Odoo modules from concept through to deployment.
Build and support integrations between Odoo and external business-critical systems.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Maintain high development standards through code reviews, testing, and documentation.
Optimise system performance, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and proactively identify areas for improvement.
Ensure custom developments remain as close to Odoo core as possible to support future upgradeability.
Produce clear technical documentation and provide regular project updates to stakeholders.
Contribute to the long-term technical roadmap and strategic development of the ERP platform.
    What We're Looking For

    Essential Experience & Skills

Minimum 5 years' hands-on Odoo development experience.
Proven experience delivering upgrades across multiple major Odoo versions (e.g., v15 to v18 and beyond).
Strong track record of developing and deploying custom Odoo modules.
Deep understanding of core Odoo business applications, including:

    Manufacturing
    Inventory
    Purchasing
    Sales
    Accounting
    User Access & Security Management

Advanced Python development skills, particularly within the Odoo ORM framework.
Strong JavaScript/TypeScript experience, including the OWL framework.
Experience working with PostgreSQL databases and Linux-based environments.
Strong knowledge of REST APIs and third-party system integrations.
In-depth understanding of Odoo architecture, models, views, workflows, security, and development best practices.
    Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    Strong communication and documentation skills.
Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
    Why Join?

This role offers the chance to work on technically challenging projects within a cutting-edge aerospace environment where your expertise will have a direct and visible impact on the business. You'll have the autonomy to influence technical decisions, contribute to long-term platform strategy, and help shape the future of a critical enterprise system.

If you're passionate about Odoo development, enjoy solving complex business challenges, and want to work on projects that genuinely matter, we'd love to hear from you.
