As an Assistant Warehouse Manager, you will be required to provide support to the Warehouse Manager supporting and overseeing daily warehouse operations. You will lead a small team and ensure efficient goods in, picking, packing.
Key duties will include;
* Supervise and support warehouse team across goods in, picking and packing
* Allocate workflow and monitor team performance
* Ensure accurate receipt, storage, picking, and dispatch of goods
* Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with stock checks
* Enforce health & safety procedures at all times
* Support training, coaching, and development of staff
* Resolve operational issues quickly and effectively
* Monitor KPIs
Skills Required for the Assistant Warehouse Manager
* Previous team leading/supervisory warehouse experience with strong understanding of warehouse operations
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail
* Problem-solving ability and a proactive approach
* Own transport is essential due to location
* Counterbalance FLT licence (Desirable)
* Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
