How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Role:              Maintenance Engineer
    Location:             Coventry
    Pay:                       £44,460 
    Hours:                   M-F 3pm-1am (15:00hrs-01:00 hrs)
    Contract:             Full time Permanent role

    Job Purpose of the Maintenance Engineer
    We are looking for a safety-focused and motivated Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Fitter to join our maintenance team on a permanent late shift. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer with strong mechanical maintenance experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment.
    The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), responding to breakdowns, and ensuring the efficient operation of our MRF, SRF, and mobile plant equipment.
    Main duties and responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer
    Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across the site.
    Perform routine greasing, inspection, and servicing of plant equipment.
    Replace bearings, shafts, rollers, and other mechanical components.
    Diagnose and replace hydraulic hoses and associated components.
    Carry out breakdown repairs and fault finding on Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) and Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) processing equipment.
    Assist with maintenance and repairs on mobile plant.
    Reset electrical breakers and inverters and assist with basic electrical fault diagnosis.
    Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
    Maintain accurate maintenance records and report any recurring issues.
    Work closely with operations teams to minimise downtime and maximise plant performance.Abilities, Skills, and Knowledge required for the Maintenance Engineer
     
    Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Fitter, or similar role.
    Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skills.
    Experience working with conveyors, bearings, shafts, hydraulic systems, and production machinery.
    Good understanding of health and safety requirements within an industrial environment.
    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    Positive attitude and strong work ethic.Desirable:
    Experience within recycling, waste processing, MRF, SRF, quarry, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments.
    Basic electrical knowledge, including breakers and inverter resets.
    Basic welding and fabrication skills.
    Mobile plant maintenance experience
