How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Teaching Assistant 3
    Eastbourne, East Sussex

    £92.56-£95 per day
    (Salary dependent on experience and/or qualifications and discussed at registration)

    September 2026 (Able to start 1st June if available)

    The School and Role:

    We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant 3 to join a supportive primary school in Eastbourne. This is a full-time role, ideal for an experienced TA who can provide advanced support to pupils across the school and help lead learning initiatives under the guidance of class teachers.

    As a Teaching Assistant 3, you will work closely with teaching staff to deliver targeted interventions, support small groups and individual pupils, and provide additional guidance to pupils with more complex needs. You will play a key role in fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment and supporting pupils both academically and socially.

    The school values teamwork, strong relationships, and a child-centred approach. You will be joining a welcoming and professional staff team committed to delivering high-quality education and pastoral care.

    The ideal candidate will have:

    Previous experience working in a school or educational setting

    Strong ability to support learning across the primary curriculum

    Confidence in supporting pupils with more complex needs

    A patient, caring, and flexible approach

    Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

    Experience delivering interventions and supporting pupils with additional needs (desirable but not essential)
