How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Location: SK6, Greater Manchester
    Start Date: ASAP
    Pay: £14.25 - £16.65 per hour (PAYE or Umbrella)
    Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-Time
    Contract: Long-Term Opportunity with Continuation into the New Academic Year

    Reeson Education is recruiting for a caring, resilient and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and well-established SEN school in the SK6 area. This is a full-time, long-term Learning Support Assistant position supporting children and young people with a wide range of additional needs.

    The successful Learning Support Assistant will work closely with pupils across the school, supporting learning, communication, emotional regulation, independence and personal development. This role would suit an experienced Learning Support Assistant or someone with transferable experience from care, support work, youth work or similar backgrounds.

    This SEN school supports pupils with a variety of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, sensory needs, learning difficulties, communication needs and other complex SEND requirements.

    Learning Support Assistant - Key Responsibilities:

    Support pupils with a range of SEND needs as a Learning Support Assistant
    Provide 1:1, 2:1 and small group support as a Learning Support Assistant
    Assist pupils with communication, engagement and emotional regulation
    Adapt activities and learning resources to meet individual needs
    Support pupils both inside and outside of the classroom
    Encourage independence, confidence and positive social interactions
    Work alongside teachers, therapists and support staff as a Learning Support Assistant
    Support sensory-based learning and intervention activities
    Promote positive behaviour and engagement throughout the school day
    Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies at all timesLearning Support Assistant - Requirements:

    Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, Care Worker or similar
    Experience supporting children or young people with SEND is desirable
    Patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
    Strong communication and relationship-building skills
    Ability to remain calm and positive in challenging situations
    Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
    Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain oneLearning Support Assistant - The School Offers:
