How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Join a Thriving and Oversubscribed Secondary School

    Brightstone Education Partners is recruiting for a Teacher of English on behalf of a highly successful and growing secondary school in Bordon.

    This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and ambitious English department within a school that combines high academic standards with a genuine commitment to staff wellbeing. The school is oversubscribed, benefits from outstanding facilities, and has built a strong reputation for excellent student behaviour, achievement, and staff retention. Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

    The Role

    You will teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that inspire students to become confident readers, writers, and communicators. You will work as part of a collaborative department where resources are shared, curriculum planning is well established, and professional development is actively encouraged.

    The department is fully resourced and committed to delivering a rich and diverse curriculum that develops critical thinking, communication skills, and a lifelong appreciation of literature and language.

    Why Apply?

    The school has worked hard to create an environment where teachers can focus on teaching. Workload reduction initiatives include a whole-class feedback approach, streamlined assessment systems, centralised behaviour management, and significantly fewer after-school meetings.

    Staff benefit from:

    * An additional week of holiday at October half-term

    * Centralised detention systems

    * Excellent behaviour and strong pastoral support

    * Modern, purpose-built facilities

    * Extensive CPD and leadership development opportunities

    * Outstanding support for ECTs and recently qualified teachers

    * Opportunities for career progression within a growing academy trust

    * Teachers' Pension Scheme

    * Employee wellbeing support and assistance programme

    The school is set within an impressive modern campus and offers access to state-of-the-art facilities, extensive outdoor spaces, and a vibrant learning environment where both students and staff are encouraged to thrive.

    The Ideal Candidate

    The successful candidate will:

    * Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

    * Have a passion for English and literacy

    * Be able to inspire and motivate students of all abilities

    * Demonstrate strong classroom practice and behaviour management

    * Be committed to continuous professional development

    * Share the school's high expectations and student-centred ethos
