How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    šŸ¢ Pareto FM
    šŸ•’ Full-Time

    About the Role

Pareto FM is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Lead Electrical Engineer to join a prestigious site-based contract in London.

This is a senior engineering position responsible for overseeing electrical maintenance operations, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of critical building systems, and supporting the ongoing operation of a technologically advanced workplace environment.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with excellent stakeholder management skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach. This role is approximately 50% hands-on and 50% supervisory, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both technical delivery and team leadership.

A company electric van will be provided for site duties, therefore a full UK driving licence is essential.

    The Role

As Lead Electrical Engineer, you'll take ownership of electrical maintenance activities across the site, ensuring compliance, reliability, and operational excellence.

You'll provide technical leadership, oversee high-voltage systems where applicable, support smart building operations, and act as a trusted point of contact for both the client and wider Pareto FM teams.

This role would suit an experienced engineer who is comfortable working within a customer-facing environment and has experience supporting complex commercial buildings.

    What You'll Be Doing

    Electrical Maintenance & Compliance

Leading and coordinating planned and reactive electrical maintenance activities

Ensuring electrical systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational

Developing and managing preventative maintenance schedules

Troubleshooting faults and providing effective technical solutions

Monitoring electrical performance and identifying opportunities for improvement

Maintaining accurate maintenance records and compliance documentation

Ensuring all statutory inspections and testing are completed in line with regulations

    Technical Leadership

Providing technical guidance and support across the site

Supporting fault diagnosis and problem resolution for complex issues

Reviewing maintenance strategies and recommending improvements

Working closely with the wider Pareto FM Central Technical Team

Ensuring engineering standards and best practices are consistently maintained

    Team Leadership

Managing and supporting an on-site Engineer and Fabric Technician

    Allocating workloads and monitoring performance

    Mentoring and developing team members

Promoting a strong safety culture and high standards of service delivery

Supporting training and professional development activities

    Client & Stakeholder Engagement

Acting as a professional and customer-focused representative of Pareto FM

Building strong relationships with client stakeholders

Providing technical advice and support on building services matters

Supporting operational meetings and service reviews

Maintaining clear and professional communication at all levels

    Reporting & Continuous Improvement

    Producing maintenance and performance reports

Monitoring KPIs, compliance requirements, and system performance

Identifying opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, and service delivery

Keeping up to date with industry developments, legislation, and emerging technologies

    Team & Support Structure

Managing an on-site Engineer and Fabric Technician

Supported by Pareto FM's Central Technical Team

Working closely with Contract Management and wider operational teams

Access to technical expertise and specialist engineering support across the wider Pareto Group

    Working Hours & Call-Out

    Full-time site-based position

    No call-out rota requirement

Opportunity to focus on proactive maintenance and operational excellence without regular out-of-hours commitments

    What We're Looking For

    Essential

Recognised Electrical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, HNC, HND or equivalent)

    18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)

Strong experience within electrical maintenance and building services environments

    Previous supervisory or leadership experience

    Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills

Strong understanding of UK electrical regulations and compliance requirements

Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills

Comfortable working with modern building technologies and systems

    Full UK driving licence

    Highly Desirable

    City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing

High Voltage (HV) Authorised Person / Senior Authorised Person (SAP)

Experience within commercial office or critical building environments

Experience supporting smart building technologies and integrated building systems

    Additional Advantage

IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH qualification

    Experience within Facilities Management environments

Knowledge of BMS systems and building automation platforms

    About You

You'll be a technically strong and highly professional engineer who enjoys taking ownership and leading by example.

You'll be equally comfortable carrying out hands-on engineering tasks, mentoring colleagues, and engaging with clients and stakeholders. You take pride in delivering high standards, solving problems proactively, and ensuring building systems operate safely and efficiently.

Most importantly, you'll understand the importance of professionalism, communication, and customer service within a high-profile environment.

    Why Join Pareto FM?

Opportunity to lead engineering delivery within a prestigious site environment
