How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Freelance Sales Development Representative, Remote, £200 - £300/Day

    About Agency AI

Agency AI is a Glasgow-based consultancy that designs, builds, and manages AI and automation solutions for forward-thinking mid-market businesses. We don't sell off-the-shelf software; we build bespoke technical solutions to complex operational bottlenecks, with measurable ROI.

Our founder spent a decade delivering enterprise automation and digital transformation at some of the world's largest banks. That enterprise-grade rigour is now available to mid-market businesses. We started in Glasgow and are growing rapidly across the wider UK, acting as strategic partners to our clients. We are now investing in our first dedicated outbound function, and we need a self-starting business development professional to own top-of-funnel pipeline and deliver highly qualified meetings to our founder.

    The Role

This is a high-impact, founding-level business development role with real autonomy over the top and middle of the funnel. You will own outbound pipeline generation end to end: building your target account lists, shaping your outreach, running the cadence, and qualifying prospects into hot, ready-to-close opportunities for our founder, who handles solutioning and closing.

You will operate with high autonomy and move with urgency, turning daily activity into predictable, qualified pipeline. To get you up to speed, the role starts Glasgow-based so we can train you closely. Once you are flying, it becomes far more flexible and remote.

    What You Will Do

Targeted prospecting: Research and build your own tiered target account lists of high-fit decision-makers across our ideal customer profile, including the more legacy or industrial companies that are harder to find on LinkedIn.

Multi-channel outreach: Run strategic, personalised outbound campaigns across cold email, LinkedIn social selling, and cold calling to book qualified meetings.

Lead qualification: Run initial discovery conversations to understand each prospect's current tools, pain points, and appetite for AI and automation, ensuring only genuinely high-potential leads progress.

Hot hand-offs: Package each qualified lead, with their context, tools, and pain points, and hand it directly to the founder to close.

Pipeline management: Meticulously track outreach, follow-ups, and prospect detail in our CRM to keep the pipeline clean, organised, and forecastable.

Collaborative strategy: Partner closely with the founder and the marketing team to refine messaging, share market feedback, and continuously sharpen our targeting.

    What We Are Looking For

A minimum of 2 years' direct experience in an SDR, BDR, or lead-generation role, with a proven track record of hitting or exceeding meeting-booked targets.

Demonstrated success in cold prospecting across multiple channels, with the resilience and personal accountability to push through the inevitable rejection of cold outreach.

Exceptional written and verbal communication in British English, with the ability to write compelling, personalised copy that cuts through the noise.

A solid understanding of B2B SaaS or technical-consultancy environments, and the ability to quickly grasp and articulate complex technical value propositions.

Confidence opening and holding conversations with directors and CEOs.

A strong execution bias and the autonomy to manage your own schedule, maintain high activity levels, and build systems from scratch in a freelance capacity.

    Nice-to-Have

Prior experience working in or with digital agencies, consulting firms, or AI technology providers.

Familiarity with modern sales stacks such as HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo.io, or Lemlist.

A strong personal network within the technology, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.

    Why Join

A true founding-level role at a fast-growing AI consultancy, working directly and daily with the founder.

Real ownership and autonomy: you build and run the outbound motion from the ground up.

A flexible freelance partnership with a highly competitive day rate or hourly retainer, plus an attractive commission for every qualified meeting booked and uncapped earning potential as we grow.

A close, supported start in Glasgow before the role opens up to flexible, remote working.

The chance to join at the exact point where AI is changing how every mid-market business works
