The firm is a professional and collaborative practice with a total of 14 employees, including a dedicated accounts team of 9. The team is a strong mix of recently qualified Chartered Accountants, AAT-qualified and part-qualified staff, as well as experienced QBE professionals. The Accounts Senior will play an important role within the accounts team, working with a varied portfolio of clients and contributing to the delivery of high-quality accountancy services. The role offers a good level of autonomy alongside team support.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of year-end accounts for a wide range of clients
Managing client relationships and responding to queries
Supporting and reviewing work prepared by junior team members
Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and deadlines
Assisting with general practice work as requiredCandidate Profile
Previous experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice
Ideally AAT qualified or qualified by experience (QBE)
Study candidates will be considered for the right individual, though this is not essential
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a teamWorking Hours & Benefits
Full-time position (37.5 hours per week)
Flexible working hours with flexitime (earliest start 6:30am, latest finish 5:00pm)
Typical working hours of 8:00am – 4:00pm with a 30-minute lunch
12:00pm finish on Fridays
