How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Based in Glasgow, you'll gain exposure to the full concept-to-launch process whilst working closely with customers and cross-functional teams. This role would suit a graduate or someone with up to two years of NPD experience who is passionate about food and eager to develop within a customer-facing environment.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

    • Supporting the development of new and existing products from concept through to launch
    • Working closely with customers to understand briefs and deliver commercially successful products
    • Preparing samples and supporting customer presentations and product reviews
    • Assisting with factory trials and ensuring products are successfully scaled into production
    • Collaborating with technical, process, operations, and commercial teams to deliver projects on time
    • Benchmarking competitor products and identifying emerging trends and opportunities
    • Maintaining accurate project documentation and supporting critical path activities
    • Working with suppliers to source ingredients and support development projects
    • Ensuring products meet quality, technical, and commercial requirements
    • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing ideas to the wider team
    • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and customers to ensure successful project delivery

    What's required?

    • A degree in Food Science or a related discipline
    • Graduate level or up to two years' experience within NPD or food manufacturing
    • A passion for bakery products and food innovation
    • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to work with customers and stakeholders
    • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
    • A proactive and enthusiastic approach with a willingness to learn
    • Good attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
    • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
    • A customer-focused mindset and a passion for delivering high-quality products

    What's in it for you?

A fantastic opportunity to develop your career within a leading bakery manufacturer, gaining full concept-to-launch exposure while working on exciting products for key customers.
