As a Project Engineer, you’ll take ownership of technical delivery—planning, coordinating, and managing engineering activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed project specifications across mechanical, electrical, and ICA disciplines
Ensure all deliverables meet technical standards and client expectations
Manage project performance, including quality, cost, schedule, and team output
Identify and implement efficient, cost-effective engineering solutions
Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery
Support and collaborate closely with Project Managers and stakeholders
Review engineering outputs and implement corrective actions where required
Lead, mentor, and motivate project team members
Plan and delegate workloads to meet key milestones
Participate in meetings with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
Support preparation of project documentation (e.g. CDM, RAMS, H&S plans)
Oversee procurement of materials, plant, and specialist subcontractors
Contribute to estimates and quotations
Skills, Experiences & Qualifications:
ONC / HNC / BEng (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline
Experience within the water and/or wastewater sector
Strong commercial and contractual awareness
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
Proactive, self-motivated approach
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
