We are working with a well-established and growing construction organisation in Guildford that is looking to appoint a talented Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team. This is a great opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking business delivering a range of high-quality projects. You would be working on retail commercial and health care refurbishment, fit out and small build projects.
The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account. Responsibilities will include:
* Preparing cost plans, budgets, and tender documentation
* Managing subcontractor procurement and tender processes
* Monitoring and controlling project costs and cash flow
* Preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts
* Supporting project delivery teams to ensure commercial success
* Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders
About You
* Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction sector
* Strong understanding of commercial and contractual practices (e.g. JCT)
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
* Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively
* Well organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
* A proactive attitude and commitment to delivering high standards
