How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN Teaching Assistant - Supply Opportunities Across a Doncaster School Trust

    Location: Doncaster
    Salary: £95 - £120 per day (dependent on experience, availability, and school requirements)

    Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis across a well-established trust of schools in Doncaster.

    This is an excellent opportunity for experienced SEN professionals looking for flexible work while making a meaningful difference to the lives of children and young people with additional needs. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work across a variety of school settings, supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities.

    The Role

    As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities may include:

    Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
    Supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.
    Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
    Promoting positive behaviour and helping pupils access the curriculum.
    Working collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals.

    The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

    Previous experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs.
    A patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
    A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

    Pay Information

    Daily rates typically range from £95 to £120 per day, depending on experience, availability, and the specific requirements of the school.

    Candidates looking to achieve the higher end of the pay scale will generally need to demonstrate significant SEN experience, a strong track record within educational settings, and be available to work on a full-time basis. Final pay rates will also be influenced by the individual needs of the school and the nature of the role being undertaken.
