How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    About the Role

    We are looking for a friendly and organised Receptionist to join our Reception Team at Winchester Urgent Care Clinic.

    As a key member of the team, you will help provide an efficient, timely and courteous service to patients, visitors and clinical colleagues. You will play an important role in creating a welcoming environment and supporting the smooth running of the clinic.

    Working closely with the Reception Supervisor and Service Delivery Manager, you will help ensure patients receive a seamless service, while completing a range of reception and administrative duties.

    Hours: Friday 18:15 – 23:15 and 1 in 4 Sundays 13:15 – 18:15

    Key Responsibilities

    * Monitoring the electronic booking system and highlighting workload concerns

    * Booking patients in on arrival

    * Following up patients who did not attend appointments

    * Managing expectations of patients in the waiting area

    * Answering telephone enquiries promptly, helpfully and courteously while maintaining confidentiality

    * Supporting reception processes and ensuring records are maintained accurately

    * Supporting the management team with public relations

    * Keeping the reception area clean, tidy and safe

    * Logging and managing medical equipment and drug boxes appropriately

    * Accurately logging prescriptions in and out

    * Maintaining stationery supplies

    * Keeping mandatory training up to date

    About You

    You will have:

    * The ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate empathy when supporting patients and clinical staff from a range of backgrounds

    * A good standard of literacy

    * The ability to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team

    * Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages

    * Previous experience in Reception, Customer Service or Administration (highly desirable)

    * Previous experience of Adastra (desirable)
