How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This role is ideal for a graduate or early-career professional looking to develop both technical and commercial expertise in a highly specialised and evolving sector. You will receive hands-on training, mentorship, and long-term career development within an international business at the forefront of the energy transition.

Please note: This role is office-based for the first 6 months to support onboarding, training, and close collaboration with the wider team.

Working closely with experienced colleagues, suppliers, and customers, you will gain valuable exposure to engineering proposals, customer requirements, account management, and commercial processes.

You will also receive specialist training at the company’s dedicated academy in Italy, providing valuable international exposure and technical development.

This role would suit someone with a technical mindset who enjoys problem-solving, communication, and building long-term customer relationships.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Prepare quotations for products and spares, including bespoke engineering solutions

    * Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal colleagues to gather technical and commercial information

    * Support customer relationships and deliver excellent service to key accounts

    * Ensure proposals comply with company standards and contractual requirements

    * Support the timely delivery of proposals for pressure control and metering equipment

    * Attend internal and external company meetings

    * Develop an understanding of UK utilities supply chains

    * Conduct all activities in line with company values, including reliability, excellence, communication, innovation, teamwork, sincerity, and commitment

    About You

We are keen to hear from motivated graduates or early-career professionals looking to build a long-term career within engineering, technical sales, and account management.

    Qualifications:

Degree in Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)

    Full UK Driving Licence

    Skills & Experience:

    * Exposure to technical/engineering sales, quotations, customer-facing roles, or commercial engineering through placements, internships, university projects, or early career experience would be advantageous

    * Strong business acumen and interpersonal skills

    * Ability to manage multiple proposals and priorities concurrently

    * Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Sage would be advantageous

    * Strong communication skills with a proactive and collaborative approach

    What’s on Offer?

    * Competitive salary with performance-related incentives

    * Pension scheme

    * Comprehensive product and software training

    * Specialist training at the company’s academy in Italy

    * Career development opportunities within a global organisation

    * Supportive, collaborative, and values-driven working environment

    * Opportunity to contribute to the growing energy transition sector

    * Regular social and team-building events

    Eligibility
