How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Personal Assistant (PA) – Construction Experience Preferred

    Location: Redditch (applicants should be based locally or willing to commute within approximately 30 minutes)

    Position: Personal Assistant (PA)

    We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Personal Assistant to provide dedicated support to a busy professional. This is a varied role that requires excellent administrative skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

    Applicants with experience in the construction industry are particularly encouraged to apply, as an understanding of construction projects, terminology, and industry processes would be highly beneficial.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Managing diaries, appointments, and schedules

    * Handling correspondence, emails, and telephone communications

    * Organising meetings and preparing documentation

    * Assisting with project administration and coordination

    * Liaising with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders

    * Maintaining records, filing systems, and project documentation

    * Supporting day-to-day business and personal administrative requirements

    * Undertaking ad hoc tasks as required

    Ideal Candidate

    * Previous experience as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, or similar administrative role

    * Construction industry experience or knowledge preferred

    * Excellent organisational and time-management skills

    * Strong written and verbal communication abilities

    * Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems

    * Able to work independently and use initiative

    * Professional, reliable, and discreet

    * Based in or near Redditch, or willing to commute within approximately 30 minutes
