How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The business has tasked the SLT with a master data project, within which this role will become a key stakeholder and influencer.

    Key Responsibilities:

Creation and ownership of BI model, dashboards and data, consolidating the output of multiple data sources, ERP, MES, Excel, and other systems
Develop architecture required to build a single source of truth that provides the data model for all analytics
Establish and lead master data management practices, working with senior stakeholders to create a robust master data strategy, defining data quality rules and own the standards for data governance
In conjunction with the business define and own core KPI's to report, including regular reviews to ensure KPI's in use remain relevant
Drive adoption of dashboards across senior leadership and managers within the business, reducing manual reporting through automation and standardisation
Provide insight led recommendations that influence commercial and operational decisions
Partner with the sales and commercial team to give them visibility, insight and control over sales pipeline, forecast accuracy, sales target attainment, sales productivity alongside guiding them in the identification of risks and opportunities
Work closely with IT to leverage existing systems such as Syspro and Qlikview, automate data pipelines and reporting processesProfile

    Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, in Business Intelligence, Analytics or business reporting roles
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis on analytics in a quantitative subject, such as business administration, computer science or data analytics
Advanced SQL skills, and a strong working knowledge of power query and ETL processes, alongside advanced excel skills
Good working knowledge of Business Intelligence tools, Power BI, Tableau or equivalent, and data visualisation techniques
Demonstrable full end to end experience of gathering and organising the data to develop and deliver BI solutions and dashboards
Experience of providing business wide support, in particular experience of having worked closely with sales and (or) commercial teams would be beneficial
Ability to manage stakeholders, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Good critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to understand complicated information, distil it and make it understandable for stakeholders
Strong presentation and communication abilities, able to translate technical outputs into business language
Ability to be pragmatic with experience of growing less structured organisations
