Lean Six Sigma Black Belt — Contract

We're supporting a manufacturing business in Gateshead on a significant operational improvement programme. They're looking for an experienced Lean Six Sigma Black Belt contractor to lead and deliver key transformation initiatives — someone who can hit the ground running, assess current operations quickly, and produce measurable results across productivity, quality, waste reduction and overall performance.
What you'll be doing
- Lead and deliver Lean Six Sigma improvement projects across manufacturing operations
- Identify and eliminate process inefficiencies using structured problem-solving methodologies
- Facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping and root cause analysis workshops
- Drive improvements in productivity, quality, delivery and cost performance
What we're looking for
- Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (essential)
- Demonstrable track record of delivering results in manufacturing environments
- Strong experience applying Lean, Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent stakeholder and change management capability
Desirable
- Automotive manufacturing background
- Experience in high-volume, fast-paced environments
- Previous contract or interim transformation experience
