How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Computer Studies Teacher
    Location: Doncaster
    Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)
    Start Date: Immediate
    Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

    GSL Education are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Computer Studies Teachers to work in schools across Doncaster.

    As a Computer Studies Teacher, you will play an important role in equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in an increasingly digital world. This is an excellent opportunity for an engaging educator to deliver high-quality lessons and encourage students to explore computing, programming, and technology with confidence.

    Computer Studies Teacher Responsibilities:

    Plan and deliver engaging Computer Studies lessons in line with the national curriculum

    Teach computing and digital literacy across Key Stages 3, 4 & 5

    Develop students’ understanding of programming, computational thinking, and technology

    Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback

    Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils

    Maintain positive classroom behaviour and high expectations for learning

    Support students’ academic achievement and personal development

    Contribute to departmental planning and curriculum enhancement

    Requirements of a Computer Studies Teacher:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

    A degree in Computer Science, Computing, IT, or a related subject

    Experience teaching Computer Studies in a school setting is desirable

    Strong classroom management and communication skills

    Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities

    A professional and proactive approach to teaching

    An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
