How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role suited to someone who can operate strategically while staying close to day-to-day manufacturing operations. You will take ownership of management systems, compliance, audits, continuous improvement, safety culture, quality performance and environmental initiatives across the business.

The company is looking for a confident QHSE professional who can influence at all levels, drive standards, support operational excellence and embed a culture of safety, quality, compliance and continuous improvement.

    The Role

As QHSE Manager, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining and improving integrated management systems across quality, health, safety and environmental standards. You will work closely with senior leadership and operational teams to ensure the business remains compliant, audit-ready and focused on continual improvement.

You will also take a leading role in sustainability and ESG activity, helping to define objectives, monitor performance and support practical initiatives around carbon reduction, waste, energy usage, employee wellbeing, governance and responsible business practices.

    Key Responsibilities

    Your responsibilities will include:

Managing internal audits, external certification audits and regulatory inspections
Promoting a proactive health and safety culture across the business
Leading risk assessments, hazard identification, incident investigations and corrective actions
Overseeing product and process quality standards within a manufacturing environment
Ensuring compliance with relevant UK health, safety and environmental legislation
Supporting environmental initiatives focused on reducing waste, emissions and resource consumption

    About You

The successful candidate will have proven experience in a QHSE, SHEQ or HSEQ management role within a manufacturing or operational environment.

You will be comfortable leading audits, improving systems, influencing stakeholders and working both strategically and practically. You should be someone who is visible on the shop floor, confident with senior stakeholders and able to bring people with you when driving change.

    Essential Experience

Previous QHSE / SHEQ / HSEQ management experience within manufacturing
Strong working knowledge of ISO management systems, particularly ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
Experience leading audits, corrective actions and compliance activity
Strong knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental legislation
Experience managing risk assessments, incident investigations and improvement plans

    Desirable Experience

ESG, sustainability or carbon reduction experience
Experience with sustainability reporting or environmental performance metrics
Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement experience
Experience supporting more than one site or working across multiple operational areas

    Skills and Personal Attributes

    The right person will be:

A strong leader with excellent influencing skills
Confident communicating across all levels of a business
    Analytical, organised and data-driven

    What’s on Offer
