How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Quality Technician - Raw Materials & Components
    Quality Inspector | Goods In Inspector | Manufacturing Quality | Precision Engineering

    Job Role
    We are recruiting for a Quality Technician to join a successful precision engineering manufacturer. This role would suit an experienced Quality Inspector, Goods In Inspector, Manufacturing Inspector, Quality Technician, Quality Control Inspector or someone with inspection experience gained within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
    Working as part of the Quality team, you will help ensure that raw materials, components and finished products meet required quality standards while supporting the smooth flow of production.
    Key responsibilities include:

    Carrying out goods-in inspection, in-process inspection and final inspection of precision engineered components.
    Identifying, reporting and managing non-conforming materials, components and products.
    Recording inspection results and quality transactions accurately within the MRP system.
    Booking in subcontract parts and supporting wider inspection activities across the manufacturing facility.
    Supporting corrective actions, quality investigations and continuous improvement activities.
    Helping maintain production schedules by ensuring quality issues are identified and resolved promptly, including minor rework where required.
    Skills & Experience
    [Similar job titles might be: Quality Technician, Quality Inspector, Goods In Inspector, Goods Inwards Inspector, Quality Control Inspector, Engineering Inspector, Manufacturing Inspector, Production Inspector or Inspection Technician.]
    You will ideally have:

    Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, automotive, machining or precision engineering environment.
    Knowledge of inspection processes and quality control procedures.
    Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify quality issues accurately.
    Experience using manufacturing software, MRP/ERP systems or quality recording systems would be advantageous.
    Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
