An exciting opportunity has arisen for an NPD Technologist to join a well-established and fast-paced food manufacturing business as part of their growing Product Development team.
This role is ideal for someone with previous food manufacturing or NPD experience who enjoys bringing new products from concept through to launch and thrives in a fast-moving factory environment.
Working closely with internal teams and customers, you'll play a key role in developing innovative products, coordinating trials, and ensuring successful launches that meet both commercial and technical requirements.
The Role:
- Supporting the development of new products from concept through to launch
- Coordinating kitchen trials, factory trials and first production runs
- Managing product benchmarking, recipe development and product optimisation
- Working closely with Technical, Operations, Procurement and Commercial teams throughout the development process
- Creating and maintaining product documentation, trial reports and launch paperwork
- Liaising with suppliers to source ingredients and support product development activities
- Ensuring products are delivered in line with customer expectations, quality standards and business objectives
- Supporting customer presentations, tastings and product evaluations where required
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience within NPD or food manufacturing
- Food Science, Food Technology or related degree preferred
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Hands-on approach and comfortable working within both factory and kitchen environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Good understanding of food manufacturing processes and product development
- Bakery or FMCG experience would be advantageous
