How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client, a specialist aviation company, operating a fleet of helicopters who are committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety, reliability, and engineering excellence are looking to recruit a B1 Helicopter Engineer to join their team near Romford, Greater London.
    Applications welcome from experienced and trainee level engineers.

    Main Purpose of the B1 Helicopter Engineer:
    The Helicopter Engineer will be responsible for the maintenance, inspection, and repair of twin engine helicopters, ensuring all work is carried out to regulatory standards and manufacturer specifications. The role involves both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and will require close collaboration with flight operations and compliance teams.
    Duties and Responsibilities of the B1 Helicopter Engineer:
    * Perform routine and non-routine maintenance
    * Conduct inspections, diagnostics, and repairs in accordance with CAA regulations and company procedures.
    * Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
    * Ensure airworthiness and safety standards are consistently met.
    * Liaise with operations and compliance teams to coordinate maintenance schedules.
    * Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and safety audits.
    To Be Considered:
    * Recognised B1.3 engineering qualification
    * Proven experience in rotary-wing aircraft maintenance.
    * Strong understanding of aviation safety standards and regulatory compliance.
    * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    * Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
    * Familiarity with UK CAA Part 145 regulations – desirable
