How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Part-Time Administrator – EBD Children’s Home
    Location: Wembley
    Job Type: Part-Time (Office-Based)
    Working Pattern: 3 Days Per Week (Employee Choice – Subject to Service Needs)
    Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm
    Reports To: Registered Manager / Home Manager
    About the Role
    We are seeking a highly organised and professional Part-Time Administrator to support the day-to-day administration of an EBD Children’s Home based in Wembley. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the smooth running of the home by maintaining accurate records, supporting compliance processes, and assisting the management team with administrative duties.
    This is an office-based role requiring attendance 3 days per week, with flexibility for the successful candidate to choose their working days (subject to operational requirements).
    Key Responsibilities
    * Provide general administrative support to the Home Manager and leadership team.
    * Maintain accurate electronic and paper records relating to children, staff, and operational compliance.
    * Ensure confidential records are organised, updated, and securely stored in accordance with GDPR and safeguarding requirements.
    * Manage incoming telephone calls, emails, correspondence, and enquiries professionally.
    * Support staff recruitment administration, including maintaining personnel files, references, DBS documentation, and training records.
    * Monitor staff training records and assist with scheduling mandatory training updates.
    * Prepare documents, reports, meeting minutes, and correspondence as required.
    * Support compliance with regulatory standards and assist with inspections and audits.
    * Maintain filing systems, databases, and office supplies.
    * Coordinate appointments, meetings, rotas, and diary management where necessary.
    * Assist with invoicing, petty cash records, and basic financial administration (if required).
    * Ensure office systems and documentation remain organised and efficient.
    Person Specification
    Essential Skills & Experience
    * Previous administrative experience in a professional office environment.
    * Strong organisational and time management skills.
    * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    * Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
    * Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    * Ability to work independently and prioritise workload.
    Desirable
    * Experience working in a children’s residential setting, social care, healthcare, or education environment.
    * Knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted requirements, or children’s residential care compliance.
    * Experience maintaining compliance or personnel records.

    Working Pattern
