How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Salary: £179 - £240 per day

    Job Description

    Clarence Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and motivated Computer Science / ICT Teacher for a secondary school in Coventry. This role offers the opportunity to join an established and well-resourced ICT department and has the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

    The successful applicant will ideally be able to deliver Computer Science and/or ICT across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 where experience allows. The school is keen to meet candidates as soon as possible.

    The school provides a positive and enriching working environment, where students thrive both academically and socially. A broad and balanced curriculum is offered, with a strong emphasis on core subjects and the development of each pupil's individual talents and potential.

    Key Responsibilities

    Deliver high-quality Computer Science and ICT lessons
    Teach across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
    Plan, prepare, and assess engaging lessons that support pupil progress
    Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and achievement
    Contribute positively to the work of the ICT department
    Support extracurricular and enrichment activities where appropriate

    Requirements

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience
    Strong subject knowledge in Computer Science and/or ICT
    Ability to teach across multiple key stages
    Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
    Willingness to contribute to a positive school culture
    Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
