Location: Rotherham

Salary: £25,456 per annum + benefits

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Our client is seeking a proactive and energetic Duty Officer to support the daily running of a busy sports centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering a safe, engaging, and customer-focused leisure environment.

The Role

You will take responsibility for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring facilities run smoothly and customers receive an outstanding experience. Working on a flexible rota that includes evenings and weekends, you will open and secure the site while maintaining high standards throughout.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee daily sports centre operations during shifts

* Ensure high standards of health & safety compliance

* Manage bookings and facility schedules efficiently

* Supervise and support staff on shift

* Handle customer queries and resolve issues promptly

* Step in to cover absences and lead activities where required

About You

* Level 3 qualification in Sport or Leisure (or similar)

* Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification

* First Aid at Work (or willingness to obtain)

* Previous supervisory experience in a leisure setting

* Strong knowledge of health & safety practices

* Flexible approach to working hours
