About the Role
As a Year 5 Teacher, you will play a key role in preparing pupils for the transition into upper Key Stage 2, delivering engaging lessons that build confidence, independence and academic success.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Planning and delivering high-quality lessons across the KS2 curriculum.
• Creating a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.
• Assessing, tracking and supporting pupil progress.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice.
• Building strong relationships with pupils, parents and carers.
• Contributing to the wider life of the school community.
The ideal Year 5 Teacher will:
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be on track to achieve QTS by September 2026.
• Have a good understanding of the KS2 curriculum.
• Be committed to achieving excellent outcomes for all pupils.
• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills.
• Bring enthusiasm, creativity and a genuine passion for teaching.
• Be a team player who contributes positively to school life.
