How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

At Wellocks, we are passionate about supplying the UK’s finest restaurants with the very best ingredients. Our people are at the heart of everything we do, and we’re on an exciting journey to continue building a high-performing, people-focused culture. We are now looking for an experienced Employment Relations Advisor to join our People Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact by driving a proactive, commercially focused approach to employee relations across the business.

    The Role

As our Employment Relations Advisor, you will be the go-to expert for all things Employee Relations. You will partner closely with managers and leaders to provide clear, pragmatic advice while building confidence and capability to manage people matters effectively.

This role is key in helping us move from reactive case handling to a more insight-led, preventative approach, supporting business performance and strengthening our culture.

    What you will do:

    Employee Relations & Case Management

    • Manage a varied caseload including disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance and conduct matters
    • Provide clear, timely and commercially balanced advice to managers
    • Support complex investigations, hearings and high-risk cases

    Coaching & Capability Building

    • Upskill and coach managers to confidently handle ER matters
    • Deliver training on investigations, hearings, absence management, performance, and more

    Data, Insight & Improvement

    • Analyse ER trends to identify root causes and preventative actions
    • Produce insight reports to support decision-making
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and practices

    Stakeholder Collaboration

    • Build strong relationships across the business, including leadership teams
    • Balance employee advocacy with commercial priorities
    • Influence and challenge constructively to drive better outcomes

    What you will need:
    • Proven experience in an ER or HR Advisor role
    • Strong knowledge of UK employment law
    • Experience managing complex ER cases end-to-end
    • CIPD Level 5 (or above) preferred
    • Background in FMCG, logistics, or fast-paced environments is advantageous
    • Strong coaching and influencing skills
    • Analytical, with the ability to interpret data and trends
    • Resilient, solutions-focused and detail-oriented

Let us tell you some benefits you would receive at Wellocks:

    • 33 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays)
    • Generous employee discounts on all our products
    • Fancy volunteering? We will give you one day off a year to take part in volunteering.
    • Cycle to Work Scheme that offers discounted bikes and cycling equipment.
    • Donate through your pay to a charity of your choice. The money is simply deducted through your pay before tax, so for every pound you donate, the 20p that usually goes to tax will go to the charity instead!
    • Holiday Purchase Scheme
    • We also have a range of employee assistance services which can be tailored to give you support on things such as finances, health and wellbeing.
