How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Walker Cole International are currently supporting the search for a Head of MSAT on behalf of a growing pharmaceutical manufacturing organisation.


    This leadership position will focus on leading technology transfer activities, developing technical capability across the site, and ensuring the successful introduction and ongoing support of commercial liquid and semi-solid products.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead and develop a team of technical scientists and specialists, providing coaching, mentoring, and technical leadership

    • Oversee the transfer of new liquid and semi-solid products into manufacturing, ensuring successful scale-up, implementation, and ongoing support

    • Drive technical excellence across manufacturing operations through process monitoring, trending, and continuous improvement activities

    • Provide strategic direction for technical services across the site, ensuring resources and expertise are aligned with business growth plans

    • Partner closely with Production, Quality, Validation, and Engineering teams to resolve complex manufacturing challenges

    • Support commercial manufacturing through technical oversight of process performance, investigations, change controls, and optimisation projects

    • Build strong relationships with customers and act as a senior technical representative during technology transfer and lifecycle management activities

    • Contribute to site-wide operational and business objectives as part of the senior leadership team

    • Manage departmental budgets, headcount planning, and team development initiatives


    Knowledge, Skills & Experience

    • Strong experience within pharmaceutical manufacturing, technical operations, process development, or technology transfer environments

    • Proven track record delivering technology transfer projects into GMP manufacturing facilities

    • Experience working with liquid, oral liquid, topical, gel, cream, or other semi-solid dosage forms would be advantageous

    • Experience leading and developing technical teams within a regulated pharmaceutical environment

    • Strong understanding of commercial manufacturing, process validation, process performance monitoring, and GMP compliance

    • Ability to influence stakeholders across technical, operational, and commercial functions

    • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
