How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Our client, a fast-growing ecommerce business within the retail and lifestyle space, is looking to add an Ecommerce Executive to their growing digital team.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys the pace of ecommerce trading and wants broad exposure across digital trading, merchandising, onsite optimisation and performance marketing within a scaling online business.

You’ll work closely with the wider ecommerce and marketing teams, helping to drive online performance, improve the customer journey and support day-to-day trading activity across multiple digital channels.

    The Role:

This is a hands-on ecommerce role focused on supporting the day-to-day performance of the online store across trading, merchandising, product management and digital optimisation.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring products, campaigns and promotions are executed accurately and commercially, while continuously identifying opportunities to improve performance and customer experience.

This role would suit someone organised, commercially minded and passionate about ecommerce and online retail.

    Responsibilities:

    • Support day-to-day ecommerce trading and onsite activity across digital channels
    • Create and manage product listings, descriptions, imagery and pricing updates
    • Maintain website merchandising, collections, homepage updates and promotional activity
    • Monitor product performance, customer behaviour and trading trends
    • Support seasonal campaigns, launches and promotional activity alongside marketing teams
    • Coordinate banners, landing pages and onsite promotional setup
    • Monitor competitor activity and support weekly trading insights
    • Identify opportunities to improve conversion, merchandising and customer experience
    • Support wider ecommerce reporting, analysis and optimisation initiatives

    Requirements:

    • Previous experience within ecommerce, digital trading or online retail
    • Experience with Shopify or marketplace channels
    • Strong attention to detail with a commercial mindset
    • Comfortable working with ecommerce data and reporting tools
    • Experience using ecommerce platforms or CMS systems
    • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
    • Good understanding of ecommerce merchandising and onsite optimisation
    • Confident communicator with a proactive approach
    • Intermediate Excel or Google Sheets skills preferred

    Equal Opportunities:

Our client values diversity and inclusion and is committed to creating an environment where everyone feels supported and valued.

    Please Note:

Applicants must have the permanent right to work in the UK without sponsorship restrictions. Our client is based in the North East of Glasgow, and ideally access to a car due to the location.
