How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    My client is looking for a Vehicle Controls Engineer to contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of vehicle control systems.

    Key Responsibilities:

    You will be involved in the development and integration of vehicle control software and electronic control systems, including:

    * Developing and maintaining Simulink vehicle control models and supporting ECU migration activities

    * Programming and configuring vehicle control systems using Curtis VCL

    * Diagnosing vehicle faults and implementing effective fault-handling strategies

    * Designing, implementing, and troubleshooting vehicle communication systems

    * Working with electronic controller toolchains, including dSPACE MicroAutoBox platforms

    * Supporting system testing, validation, and problem resolution activities

    * Managing software releases, configuration control, and version management processes

    * Developing and analysing models using MATLAB and Simulink

    * Contributing to autonomous vehicle control strategies and system architecture

    * Supporting the development of electric vehicle drive systems and control solutions

    * Applying Design for Safety principles throughout the product lifecycle

    Tools & Technologies

    Experience with some or all of the following is desirable:

    * MATLAB

    * Simulink

    * Vector development tools

    * New Eagle Raptor development tools

    * dSPACE toolchains

    * Vehicle communication networks and control systems

    Experience Required:

    * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM discipline.

    * Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills.

    * Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

    * Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

    Desirable Experience:

    * Strong knowledge of automotive systems and vehicle architectures.

    * Experience developing control systems for electric vehicles.

    * Exposure to autonomous vehicle technologies and advanced mobility solutions.

    * Understanding of software release processes and configuration management.
